Vital AF 1.2 Cal is Abbott's peptide based enteral formula designed for critically ill and metabolically stressed patients who require enhanced GI tolerance and targeted immune and inflammatory support. Delivered in a 33.8-ounce ready to hang container, it provides 1.2 kcal per mL with a high-protein, anti inflammatory nutrient profile suited for ICU, surgical, oncology, and other acute care settings where standard polymeric formulas may not be well tolerated.

Designed for Tolerance in Compromised GI Function

Vital AF 1.2 Cal uses a hydrolyzed peptide based protein system, which is more readily absorbed than intact protein in patients with impaired digestion or reduced gut surface area. Its fat system combines medium chain triglycerides with a fish oil structured lipid, a next generation fat source that supports efficient fatty acid absorption even in patients with fat malabsorption. The formula also contains 1.2 grams of NutraFlora scFOS prebiotic fiber per 8 fluid ounces to stimulate beneficial colonic bacteria and support gut health during enteral feeding.
