Fibracol Plus is a sterile, soft, absorbent wound dressing from 3M (Solventum) that combines the structural support of collagen with the exudate management properties of calcium alginate into a single conformable dressing. Composed of 90% collagen and 10% calcium alginate, it is designed for the management of moderate to heavily exuding wounds across a broad range of wound types and healing stages. The collagen component provides a structural scaffold that supports the wound healing environment, while the calcium alginate component absorbs exudate and forms a soft, cohesive gel on contact with wound fluid. This gel layer maintains a moist wound interface, facilitates autolytic debridement, and helps manage exudate without allowing the wound bed to become macerated.
