Fibracol Plus is a sterile, soft, absorbent wound dressing from 3M (Solventum) that combines the structural support of collagen with the exudate management properties of calcium alginate into a single conformable dressing. Composed of 90% collagen and 10% calcium alginate, it is designed for the management of moderate to heavily exuding wounds across a broad range of wound types and healing stages. The 4 x 8 inch rectangle format provides extended coverage for longer wounds, surgical incisions, donor sites, and larger pressure injuries where smaller dressing sizes would require overlapping or frequent repositioning.

How Fibracol Plus Works

The collagen component provides a structural scaffold that supports the wound healing environment, while the calcium alginate component absorbs exudate and forms a soft, cohesive gel on contact with wound fluid. This gel layer maintains a moist wound interface, facilitates autolytic debridement, and helps manage exudate without allowing the wound bed to become macerated. Indications

Indicated for the management of exuding wounds including full-thickness and partial-thickness wounds, pressure injuries, venous ulcers, ulcers caused by mixed vascular etiologies, diabetic ulcers, second degree burns, donor sites, bleeding surface wounds, abrasions, traumatic wounds healing by secondary intention, and dehisced surgical incisions.
