Moldex Respiratory and Hearing Protection

Moldex-Metric has made respiratory protection since 1980, when it started producing dust masks in California, and added foam earplugs in 1986. Its respirators use a Dura-Mesh shell built to resist collapsing in heat and humidity. Lexicon carries Moldex medical N95s, AirWave respirators, ear plugs and fit testing supplies.

Medical N95 Respirator / Surgical Masks

These models work as both an N95 respirator and a surgical mask, with bacterial filter efficiency above 99.9%. They meet CDC guidelines for protection against TB.

• Moldex 1511 and 1517: fluid resistant, with a contour-molded nose bridge for comfort.
• Moldex 1512 (Medium) and 1513 (Large): Softspun lining, naturally contoured facepiece, soft foam nose cushion and straps attached so they do not break at the seal.
• Moldex 662547 (X-Small): fluid-resistant N95 / surgical mask for smaller faces.

AirWave Respirators

• Moldex 4700 AirWave N100 (Medium/Large): wave design for easier breathing, contouring foam face seal, adjustable cloth SmartStrap and a molded nose bridge with no metal noseband.
• Moldex 4800 AirWave N95 (Medium/Large): industrial N95 with an adjustable head strap. It is not rated for fluid resistance, so use a medical N95 where splash protection is needed.

Foam Ear Plugs

• Moldex Pura-Fit 6800: PVC-free foam, NRR 33, softer foam and a longer length for easy fitting and removal, packed in biodegradable paper pouches.
• Moldex SparkPlugs 6604: PVC-free, NRR 33, tapered shape for easy insertion, in bright multicolor foam.

Respirator Fit Testing with Bitrex

The Moldex 0503 Bitrex Sensitivity Solution confirms a wearer can taste Bitrex before testing begins. The 0504 Bitrex Fit Test Solution is then used for the qualitative fit test. More people can taste Bitrex, and it is less likely to clog nebulizers, which helps keep fit testing on schedule.

Choosing the Right Moldex Product

Match the protection level (N95 or N100), fluid resistance, size and pack quantity to the task. For clinical use, choose a medical N95 / surgical mask model and confirm the size against each wearer's fit test.
